Position Overview
As a Mobile Developer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our mobile applications and frameworks. You’ll focus on developing and maintaining app features, ensuring our products consistently surpass user expectations. This role combines creativity with technical expertise, challenging you to tackle complex problems while delivering scalable, high-quality, and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated iOS and Android applications using React Native.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features.
- Optimize application performance by ensuring responsiveness, quality, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to enhance user experience.
- Perform code reviews to uphold best practices in software development.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in mobile technologies and test applications on devices to ensure optimal performance using the latest tools and techniques.
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Expertise in React Native, with a comprehensive understanding of its core principles and architecture.
- Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and hands-on experience developing apps using Shopify APIs.
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining high-performing, accessible, scalable, and high-quality mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences to a large audience.
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end mobile development lifecycle.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, agile remote first environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications.
- Proficient in utilizing Reanimated to enhance app interactivity and animation performance.
- Proven expertise in deploying and managing applications, along with extensive interaction with the App Store and Google Play platforms.
- Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and application interface guidelines.
Education & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in mobile app development, with a strong portfolio of projects in iOS and Android.
